01 DESCRIPTION
Electric Oasis is a rapidly deployable concept that reimagines existing gas stations as charging hubs for electric vehicles. Tree-like steel canopies provide shade from the hot California sun at a site outside Los Angeles. The canopy foundations house a remediative aeration system to clean up ethanol contamination from old fuel storage tanks.
The Level Studio Team is honored to share that we were selected as winners of the 2023 Forge Prize competition. The team worked with Christian Crosby, senior vice president at Schuff Steel, to refine our initial competition proposal and presented the final design on a live youtube stream which you can watch below.
